In this hauntingly beautiful black and white hand-drawn piece, the ancient concept of yin and yang takes vivid, emotional form. The artwork is split into two mirrored halves, each echoing the other yet diverging in meaning and tone.

On the right side—the shadow of the soul—a woman is depicted with sorrow streaming as black tears. Thorns emerge from her neck like unspoken pain turned outward. A black snake slithers ominously above, accompanied by a dark butterfly—a symbol of transformation through suffering. A torn gash in the page reveals a single, watchful eye crying through the void, while a hand gently holds half of a broken paper heart—fragile love fractured by reality.

The left side—her light—mirrors her figure exactly, but with subtle, profound shifts. The tears remain, but the thorns are gone, replaced by grace and resilience. A white butterfly flutters upward, balanced by a white snake that faces its darker counterpart—duality without division. Instead of a tear in the page, a delicate violin emerges: an emblem of beauty, expression, and harmony born from struggle.

"Yin Yang" speaks to the inextricable bond between light and dark, despair and hope. It is a meditation on emotional symmetry—the idea that beauty is not the absence of pain, but the form it carves when mirrored by grace.
